Drivers traveling westbound on I-74 just after 5 a.m. this morning found significant delays near Milepost 201 due to a 2-vehicle crash. Troop 7 units reported to the scene, and as a result, westbound traffic was being diverted at Milepost 206.

REO Speedwagon will reunite for a special retrospective concert in Champaign this summer, celebrating the band’s long legacy. The concert will be held on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the State Farm Center, and will feature former members Neal Doughty, Alan Gratzer, Bruce Hall, Terry Luttrell, Mike Murphy, and Steve Scorfina. The evening will also honor the memory of the band’s late members, Gary Richrath and Gregg Philbin.

The Champaign County Coroner has identified the man who was struck and killed by a car while riding his bicycle on I-74 in Urbana Sunday night. The victim has been confirmed as 57-year-old John K. Kwiatkowski, a resident of Urbana.

The Illinois State Police (ISP) is hosting its inaugural all-women recruitment event, “Meet the Women in ISP: A Career Exploration,” on Tuesday, March 18. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Illinois State Police Academy in Springfield. The initiative seeks to address the underrepresentation of women in law enforcement, with data from the U.S. Department of Justice showing that women make-up only 14% of full-time sworn officers and 11% of first-line supervisors in local police departments.
