Duncan Road closure over Interstate 74
Anthony Drive road closure – August 27 Update
William Charles Construction and the Illinois Department of Transportation will close a portion of Anthony Drive between Dobbins Drive and Campbell Drive for construction. Both eastbound and westbound traffic on Anthony will be detoured. The closure will occur between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 pm. starting on Tuesday, July 22 and ending on Friday, September 26. This project was initially slated to end on August 29, but an August 27 press release shared that the closure would be extended.
During the closures, access will be maintained to all local properties.
Paula Drive closed for Garden Hills Phase 3 Project
Starting July 31, Paula Drive will be fully closed to vehicular traffic at the intersection of Paula Drive and Garden Hills Drive westward about halfway to Cynthia Drive.
Residents will not be able to enter or leave their driveways during construction, and will be able to park on the street where street parking is available but not within the construction zone. Pedestrian access to all homes will be maintained throughout the project. Joanne Lane and Garden Hills Drive will be open to north/south traffic, and the connection between Joanne Lane and Garden Hills Drive along Paula Drive will be open soon after.
The project is estimated to last 6-8 weeks, depending on the weather.
From August 29 to September 1, residents should have access to their driveways when construction equipment is not being used in the roadway. Starting September 2, all access to driveways will be removed. Residents will be able to park on the street where street parking is available, but not within the construction zone. Pedestrian access to all homes will be maintained throughout construction.
