THOMASBORO, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died in a motor vehicle crash on Monday, April 14 on Interstate 57.
Coroner Laurie Brauer confirmed that 27-year-old Ilda E. Tzintzun Zamudio of Champaign was pronounced dead at the scene. The fatal crash occurred on the northbound side of I-57 near mile marker 243, just outside Thomasboro.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed later this week to determine the exact cause of death. The incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office. No further details regarding the circumstances of the crash have been released at this time.
