CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign Park District is excited to announce that Elvis Costello & The Imposters, with special guest Charlie Sexton, will perform live at the Virginia Theatre in downtown Champaign on Tuesday, October 14 at 7:30 p.m.

This performance is part of Elvis Costello’s “Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello” tour, which will feature songs spanning from “My Aim Is True” (1977) to “Blood & Chocolate” (1986). This era includes some of his most iconic songs, such as “Watching The Detectives,” “I Want You,” and “Alison”, alongside fan favorites like “Man Out of Time” and “Brilliant Mistake.”

Costello has shared that this tour offers fans a chance to experience these early songs, reimagined for today’s audiences. With an ensemble including original band members Steve Nieve, Pete Thomas, Davey Faragher, and guitarist Charlie Sexton, the show promises a unique, high-energy performance by a band that remains as vital as ever.

Reserved seating tickets, ranging from $65 to $135 (plus a per-ticket processing fee of $7-13), will go on sale Friday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Virginia Theatre box office, online at thevirginia.org, or by phone at 217-356-9063.
