Construction on Bradley Avenue to shut down portion of road for up to a month

The pavement on Bradley Avenue from Alpine Drive to Duncan Road will be reconstructed later this month as part of the Bradley Avenue Improvement Project.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The pavement on Bradley Avenue from Alpine Drive to Duncan Road will be reconstructed later this month as part of the Bradley Avenue Improvement Project.

Stark Excavating will be contracted to do the work which will begin, weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 15. Additionally, a portion of Duncan Road will be closed on the north side of Bradley Avenue for approximately three to four weeks. Duncan Road south of Bradley Avenue will remain open with no closures.

Bradley Avenue will be reduced to two-lane traffic, with one lane open in each direction, but motorists may want to take alternate routes to avoid delays. Work on the entirety of the Bradley Avenue Improvement Project is scheduled to be completed by mid-October of this year.
