CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Parkland College officials invite anyone interested in running for the Parkland College Board of Trustees to participate in the upcoming election.
Terms of trustees Bianca Green and James Voyles are set to expire in April 2025 and each board opening will be for two, six-year terms. The Parkland Board of Trustees consists of seven members, and they are elected by the residents of District 505. A student representative is also elected, but by the student body. As a trustee, the elected official will be able to provide local control and direction for Parkland College.
People wishing to run for a spot on the board may pick up their nominating petitions and related documents from Krystal Garett, the Executive Assistant to the President and the Board of Trustees. Petitions and documents are located in Room U330 on the Parkland College campus at 2400 W. Bradley Ave. in Champaign starting on August 13, 2024, at 9 a.m. Documents must be filed with the Office of the Board Secretary. Elections will be held on April 1, 2025.
