CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Sixteen outstanding students from Centennial High School and Central High School have earned the highly regarded BigFuture National College Board Honors. These accolades recognize high-performing, underrepresented students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and determination.

Eligible students must fulfill the following criteria:
- Have a GPA of B+ (equal to at least 3.3 or 87%-89%) or higher.
- Reside permanently in the United States, a U.S. territory, or U.S. military base, or attend a DoDEA school. U.S. citizenship is not required.
- Identify as Black/African American, Latino/Hispanic, Indigenous/Native, or be a first-generation college student, or attend high school in a rural area or small town.
- Rank in the top 10% among PSAT 10 and PSAT/NMSQT test takers in 11th grade in their state for their award program OR have received a score of 3 or higher on at least two distinct AP exams by the end of 10th grade.
The College Board grants these academic honors based on several criteria, recognizing students who exhibit exemplary academic performance and resilience.
