PARIS, IL (Chambana Today) — A free healthcare clinic offering dental, vision and medical services will return to Paris next month for a second consecutive year.

The clinic, organized by Remote Area Medical in partnership with Longview Capital Corporation and its affiliated community banks, will take place June 13 and 14 at Paris High School.

Patients will be able to receive care at no cost, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Organizers said no identification, insurance or payment will be required.

Services will include dental cleanings, fillings, extractions and x-rays, along with eye exams, prescription glasses made on site and general medical care. Women’s health services and prescription consultations will also be available.

The clinic will be held at Paris High School, located at 14040 E. 1200th Road in Paris. Parking opens at 11:59 p.m. Friday night, and clinic doors open at 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Patients will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

Longview Capital Corporation, along with Longview Bank, Longview Community Bank and Federated Bank, is serving as the local organizer for the event.

“Giving back to the communities we serve stands at the heart of Longview Capital Corporation,” said David Albin. “Access to basic healthcare should never depend on a person’s circumstances.”

Organizers said last year’s clinic served 185 patients and provided more than $150,000 worth of dental and vision care over a single weekend.

Remote Area Medical, commonly known as RAM, has operated free pop-up healthcare clinics across the country since 1985. The nonprofit says it has served more than 1 million people through more than 1,500 clinics nationwide.
