DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – A 47-year-old man was found in Danville with a stab wound.
This Thursday, May 22, at around 6:15 p.m., officers, from the Danville Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a subject that had been stabbed on East Main Street. The officers arrived to find the 47-year-old man with a stab wound, who was then airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana. The victim is currently in stable condition. Further investigation led officers to witness information and a description of the suspect.
The officers then found 41-year-old Daniel Kist of Danville nine blocks from the scene. Kist was then arrested and taken to the Public Safety Building to be questioned. Daniel Kist was booked and charged with Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and is being held at the Vermilion County jail pending a pre-trial hearing.
The Danville Police Department reminds the public that all subjects arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
