Anne was born on March 13, 1943 to the late William G. and Virginia F. Skelton in Champaign, IL. A proud alumna of Central High School, Anne went on to further her education at Quincy College. An accomplished swimmer and diver in her youth, Anne cherished her time spent at Champaign Country Club. When not in the pool, Anne could be found speed skating, sailing or working at her parent’s pharmacy, Skelton’s Pharmacy. She spent summers on the lake in Minocqua building lifelong memories. Anne’s youth was filled with faith, family and the love of many who would become her lifelong friends.
In her later years, Anne spent 40 years as a real estate agent where her integrity and work ethic earned the trust and respect of her many clients. Anne was passionate about her work giving back to her community, dedicating much of her time to her faith. Anne was a devout Christian and a dedicated member of the St. Matthew Catholic Church, where she found profound joy in serving her community through Catholic Charities, PEO, Adoration, and the Bereavement Committee.
Anne embodied a giving spirit that radiated in her constant dedication to the two most important aspects of her life, her Christian faith and family. Anne’s warmth and grace was felt by anyone who was lucky enough to call her a friend, mother, sister or wife. Her faith, a constant guiding light, was a source of hope, peace and comfort throughout her years.
We will miss Anne’s warm smile and graceful touch but are comforted that she now rests in the arms of the angels she so devoutly believed guided her through this life.
