CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The National Weather service predicts a mix of sunny days and scattered thunderstorms across Champaign throughout the week. Expect it to get to the high to mid 80s in the afternoon and the temperature lowering to the low to high 60s during the evening.

  • Waterproof Shoes and Jacket: We all hate wet clothes. Keep your child dry with waterproof shoes and a jacket.
  • Light Clothing: With highs around 80 degrees, it can get hot out there for your child. Make sure they wear breathable clothing during the day to beat the heat.

THURSDAY: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
