Champaign County closes administrative offices due to winter weather

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County administrative offices will be closed on Monday, January 6, 2025 due to inclement weather.

The offices include the Sheriff’s Office, Brookens, and Courthouse. These actions were taken due to advice from the National Weather Service and the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office’s emergency managers. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Champaign County will not receive as much snow as predicted, but blowing and drifting will cause issues for road crews. Due to this, the Sheriff’s Office would like to err on the side of caution. County business will resume on Tuesday, but there will be no interruption in emergency services.
