URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The City of Urbana recently announced funding for grants that provide community-based programs and sevices to low-income households in Urbana.

The City of Urbana aims to fund programs and services to provide for the needs of low-income individuals in the Urbana area to create a lasting impact in the community. This opportunity will focus on the following areas:

  • Education
  • Housing / homelessness prevention
  • Employment / job training
  • Immigration services
  • Family support / special needs
  • Senior services
  • Food security
  • Violence prevention
  • Healthcare
  • Youth services

Applications for Program Year 2026  opened on Monday, February 3, 2025 and the deadline is on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Applications can be submitted here and more information can be found at urbanail.gov.
