URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The City of Urbana’s Market at the Square announced its 2025 season is underway on Saturday, May 3, 2025
The Market is located at the corner of Illinois and Vine Streets and is ranked as one of the top farmers markets to visit in Illinois. It runs rain or shine from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. every Saturday through October 2025. Urbana’s Market at the Square is celebrating its 46th year since 1979. It is home to over 150 vendors selling Illinois-grown produce, plants and flowers, farm products such as meat, eggs, honey, and fresh baked goods. There are also local arts and crafts and food trucks present.
“This is going to be another great season for Urbana’s Market at the Square,” Bryan Heaton, Urbana’s Market coordinator said. “Come on out and enjoy locally sourced fresh food, local artisans, engaging community groups, and everyone’s favorite food trucks in the area.”
The Market will also be offering weekly email updates entitled Market Mail. They inform subscribers what to expect at the Market each week and is available at www.urbanamarket.org. Vendors will accept cash and many accept card and electronic payment. Customers wishing to use SNAP benefits must bring their LINK card to the information tent in the north row of the Market.
