DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – Early this Friday morning at around, Danville Police Officers stopped a vehicle who attempted to flee.
On Friday, October 11, the officers were patrolling the 1300 block of East Williams Street in Danville and they witnessed a vehicle driving erratically and going well above the speed limit. The officers rushed to stop the vehicle, which refused by speeding away. The officers then caught the vehicle who stopped in the area of Porter and Seminary Streets. The stop resulted in the officers investigating the vehicle and finding an unlawful firearm inside.
The driver, 26-year-old Trentaia Johnson of Danville was then arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Police. The Danville Police Department would like to remind the public that all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
