DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today)– The Danville Police Department recently awarded its Police Officer of The Year and The “Top Gun” award.
Police Officer of The Year was awarded to by Chief Yates to Scott Crawley, who demonstrated outstanding performance and professional achievement by conducting proactive community policing. Crawley is a 16-year veteran of the DPD and exhibits the vision and values of the DPD Mission Statement. He has consistently shown good character on and off duty and receives praise from his coworkers and supervisors.
The “Top Gun” award was presented to Detective Jon Stonewall for the highest combined firearm qualifications score of the year. He is also a 16-year-veteran of the DPD. He demonstrated handling a firearm at a high level and had excellent skills on the firing range.
