CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Giertz Gallery at Parkland College announced the scholarship award recipients of its 57th Annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition.

The exhibition, currently on display in the gallery through May 10, displays of 170 student works which have been produced within the last year in Parkland classes including Photography, Painting, Drawing, Metals, Three-Dimensional Design, Two-Dimensional Design, Color Theory, Figure Drawing, and Ceramics. These pieces were picked by Parkland’s art faculty. A reception honoring the participants was held on Thursday, April 17.

Scholarship recipients include the following:

  • Kevin Mikulich (Monticello): Underwood-Alger Art Scholarship
  • Jasmine Diep (Champaign): Don Lake Art Scholarship
  • Reagan Young (St. Joseph): Arrowmont-Wingate Scholarship
  • Lauren Cowie: Feldman Ceramic Art Scholarship
  • Adison Summers: Feldman Ceramic Art Scholarship
