CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 Commander, Acting Captain Heather Apperson recently announced the results of Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) patrols.

The results of the ACE patrols were announced on November 22 and focused on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action in response to violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs. The results are as follows:

  • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Citations: 0
  • Other Alcohol/Drug Citations: 0
  • Occupant Restraint Offenses: 0
  • Registration Offenses: 3
  • Driver’s License Offenses: 3
  • Insurance Violations: 2
  • Total Citations/Arrests: 33
  • Total Written Warnings: 3

47% of vehicle crashes are alcohol and drug-related. This program allows officers to keep the road safe and remove DUI offenders from the road.
