CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The McKinley Foundation announced the recipients of this year’s Community Social Justice Grants.

Grantees were awarded $1,000 each to support their work dedicated to the LGBTQ+ or BIPOC communities, food and housing insecurity, healthcare, and education challenges, or environmental activism. Grantees will showcase their work at the McKinley Foundation annual fundraiser on June 7, 2025.

Recipients include:

  • PACE, Inc

  • UIUC School of Social Work

  • C-UPHD Justice Coalition

  • C-U Reparations Coalition

  • I-CAUSE

  • Avicenna Shelter Medicine Initiative

  • The Land Connection

  • We CU Community Engaged Scholars

  • CU Early

The program relies on proceeds from the McKinley annual fundraiser. This year’s event is a relaxed summer evening featuring live jazz, hors d’oeuvres and complimentary cocktails.
