Parkland College is hosting the U.S. National Civics Bee

The Civics Bee is an opportunity for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to show off their knowledge of civics and government. Students who are knowledgeable in civics education develop soft skills employers need.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Chamber presents the U.S. National Civics Bee hosted by Parkland College.

Essay Submission Deadline: February 4, 2025
Who Can Participate: Middle school students in Champaign County and Illinois
Why Participate: Cash prizes will be awarded, and one student from Illinois will advance to Washington, D.C., for a chance to win a $100,000 college savings plan.
