CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Quad Day is coming back to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) this Sunday.

The UIUC is once again hosting its 2024 Quad Day and Involvement Fair on the Main Quad this Sunday, August 25 and it will be taking place from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Quad Day always takes place the Sunday before classes start at UIUC and allows students and people alike to learn about the university’s registered student organizations (RSO). Over 1,000 RSOs, including fraternal organizations, social clubs, cultural associations, and much more, set up their booths on the Main Quad to promote their organizations and hand out free stuff.

“It’s very energizing talking to new people. You can see that excited look in the freshman’s eyes, how they’re looking for a place to belong. I hope we can provide that for them,” said Juni of the Hip-Hop Collective.

“There’s a lot of clubs, hobbies, and concepts that I’d never seen before. It’s always fun checking those out. I see a lot of clubs that are really impactful and make a big difference with the people involved” said Jarrett of Inline Insomniacs.

This event is a fantastic way for students new and old to discover what RSOs they want to join, find opportunities for involvement, and meeting new people. Incoming freshmen are especially encouraged to get an early start on recreational activities and making new friends on campus. The event is open to the public!
