SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) – State Senator Chapin Rose has be reappointed as the Senate Republican Caucus’s chief budget negotiator.
Once again, Senator Rose will be an important player in shaping the State of Illinois’s budget with the 104th General Assembly underway. Senator Rose is the ranking Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee. On top of his role as a chief budget negotiator he has also been appointed on the Appropriations-Education, Financial Institutions, Insurance, and Judiciary committees.
“I am honored to continue serving as the Senate Republican Caucus’s chief budget negotiator,” said Rose. “The state’s budget needs to reflect the priorities of the people of Illinois. Governor Pritzker has failed to do that. In fact, under Governor Pritzker’s leadership, we now have a massive $3 billion budget deficit. The people of my district have plainly said they have had enough of Governor Pritzker’s spending.”
