MONTICELLO, IL (Chambana Today) – The holiday season is near, and the University of Illinois Extension is hosting two workshops in December to learn the art and history behind evergreen wreaths!
These workshops will allow community members to create their own wreaths for decoration. Evergreen Wreaths with DeWitt and Piatt Master Gardeners will be offered on December 9 at First Presbyterian Church in Monticello and December 11 at Outreach Ministries in Farmer City. Each workshop will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Volunteers will help participants through the process of creating beautiful wreaths, discussing the several types of evergreens, and the significance of said evergreens. Participants will then be able to take home their very own handcrafted wreath. The workshops have a ten dollar supply fee and participants can register up to one day in advance at go.illinois.edu/MGwreaths.
