URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The Urbana Board of Education has appointed Katrina Williams as Assistant Principal at Urbana Middle School.
Willliams currently serves as Director of Student Achievement for Young Audiences Charter Schools in the Greater New Orleans area. She has over 20 years of experience in instructional leadership, curriculum development, instructional design and professional learning facilitation. Before her current role, she also served as an Assistant Principal, MTSS/504 Coordinator, Dean of Curriculum and Instruction, and Instructional Data Specialist.
She’s led multiple initiatives that benefitted students and strengthened instructional practices. Williams also has a track record of aligning curriculum with state standards, analyzing assessment data, implementing school improvement strategies, and supporting educators through coaching, professional development, and instructional modeling. She holds multiple teaching and leadership awards, holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in Education.
