CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – This workweek’s weather will vary greatly with sunny hot mornings, scattered thunderstorms, and chilly nights. The temperatures, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), are projected to reach all the way up to 95 degrees and down to 59 degrees, so make sure to stay prepared!
This weather comes as a reminder that even as the seasons pass, we’re still not past that summer heat! Make sure you dress accordingly with light and loose clothing during the afternoons and sweaters and jackets during the chillier nights. Stay hydrated and don’t forget your sunscreen!
With the first semester at the University of Illinois starting this week, expect a huge influx of college students coming back to Champaign. With college students comes college football, which includes the Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Eastern Illinois Panthers game on Thursday, August 29 at 8:00pm. Show your support by attending the first Illinois football game next to thousands of devoted fans located at Memorial Stadium. Not much of a sports person? Check out the 2024 Art and Design Faculty Exhibition where Parkland College faculty showcase their art in a variety of mediums.
