Robin Kelly launches campaign for Senator Dick Durbin’s seat

Kelly, a veteran Democratic lawmaker and former chair of the Illinois Democratic Party, is the second major Democrat to enter the 2026 primary race, following Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton. She has represented Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District since 2013. Her district stretches from Chicago’s South Side to Danville, covering a large and diverse area. In 2010, she also ran as the Democratic nominee for state treasurer.

When he’s having a tough morning, Cunningham staff bring Ace to the sensory room where he can jump on the crash pad, shoots hoops and listens to music. These tools are important to help Ace calm down and get ready to learn. Ace now asks to the sensory room because it has become something steady and safe in his life.
