CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Three members of the Illinois Fighting Illini women’s basketball team were recognized for their standout performances this season, with Kendall Bostic, Genesis Bryant, and Adalia McKenzie earning All-Big Ten honors.
Bostic, a senior forward, was named to the First-Team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and media. This marks her third All-Big Ten selection, but her first time being named to the First-Team. Bostic led Illinois in both points and rebounds, averaging a career-high 15.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per game. She also received the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, her fourth time earning the honor.
Bryant, a junior point guard, earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors for the second consecutive year. Bryant, who stepped into the point guard role this season, averaged 14.9 points, 3.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. She also posted career-best free-throw and three-point shooting percentages, cementing her place as one of the conference’s top performers.
McKenzie, a senior guard, received an Honorable Mention, marking the second time in her career that she earned this recognition. She started every game for the Illini, averaging 13.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and a career-high 3.2 assists.
