Central High School hosts C.A.K.E. event on “Athletic Mental Health and Pathways to Success”

Central High School will be hosting a Community Academic Knowledge Event (C.A.K.E.) on March 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Decker Theater. The event will focus on the important and timely topic of "Athletic Mental Health and Athletic Pathways to Success." This program is designed to provide students with valuable insights into the impact of mental well-being in sports and the various pathways to success that athletics can provide.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Central High School will be hosting a Community Academic Knowledge Event (C.A.K.E.) on March 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Decker Theater. The event will focus on the important and timely topic of “Athletic Mental Health and Athletic Pathways to Success.” This program is designed to provide students with valuable insights into the impact of mental well-being in sports and the various pathways to success that athletics can provide.

The panel will include notable speakers such as Michael Finke, Illini Basketball Alumni and Broker at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group; Dr. Morgan Wallen, US World Cup Team/Captain and eight-time World Champion Equestrian; and Lucy Gold, University of Michigan Football Manager.

The event is open to students and media, with opportunities to submit questions for the panel.
