CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – On Friday, April 4, the Parkland College Foundation commemorated the 30th anniversary of its Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training (ASSET) program, a milestone that highlights the program’s success, innovation, and commitment to training the next generation of automotive professionals.
The celebration took place at the Parkhill Applied Technology Center at Parkland College, where attendees gathered to honor three decades of the program’s impact. Remarks were made by Parkland Vice President for Academic Services, Nancy Sutton, and Ford ASSET program director, David Charney, among others. Guests also had the opportunity to explore the shop and view the vehicles that are integral to the program.
The Ford ASSET program at Parkland College has consistently provided high-quality automotive training, creating pathways for students to pursue rewarding careers in the automotive industry.
