SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) – Republican Senator Chapin Rose from Mahomet welcomed advocates and staff from the Developmental Services Center (DSC) to the Illinois State Capitol this week as part of the organization’s advocacy day in Springfield.
During their visit, DSC representatives met with Senator Rose to discuss the challenges and priorities facing individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They highlighted the importance of continued state support for critical services and shared personal stories about the impact DSC has on the lives of individuals and families across Illinois.
Senator Rose reaffirmed his commitment to supporting legislation and funding that benefits people with disabilities. “I’m grateful for the work DSC does every day to support individuals with disabilities and their families,” said Senator Rose. “Hearing directly from advocates helps ensure we are doing everything we can at the state level to strengthen these essential services.”
The visit underscored the ongoing partnership between state lawmakers and community organizations like DSC.
