RANTOUL, IL (Chambana Today) – Champaign County Coroner Laurie Brauer confirmed Thursday that a man was found dead in Heritage Lake in Rantoul on May 15.
At this time, the man’s identity has not been confirmed. The Coroner’s Office is working to make a positive identification and has scheduled an autopsy, during which DNA samples will be collected to aid the process.
The case is under active investigation by both the Rantoul Police Department and the Champaign County Coroner’s Office.
