Danville woman arrested after traffic stop leads to gun and drug charges

A Sunday night traffic stop in Danville led to the arrest of a 31-year-old woman on multiple charges, including weapon and drug offenses.

DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – A Sunday night traffic stop in Danville led to the arrest of a 31-year-old woman on multiple charges, including weapon and drug offenses.

Around 11:00 p.m. on May 18, a Danville Police officer pulled over a vehicle near Jackson and Williams Street for a registration violation. During the stop, the driver was found to have a suspended license. One of the passengers, identified as Ebonnie Bryant of Danville, was arrested after officers discovered a firearm illegally transported inside the vehicle, along with a controlled substance.

Bryant was taken to the Vermilion County Public Safety Building and booked on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
