CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – A national soccer sensation is headed to Central Illinois this summer as Soccer Wars makes its Illinois debut at the Rantoul Family Sports Complex on July 12–13. The two-day festival kicks off a three-year partnership with Experience Champaign-Urbana, aimed at growing inclusive, high-energy soccer events in the region.
“This is more than a tournament—it’s a stage for every player to shine,” said Casey Clark, CEO of Soccer Wars. Known for its club-neutral format and emphasis on individual talent and community spirit, Soccer Wars has quickly gained momentum nationwide.
Events include Goalie Wars, Player Wars, and Skill Wars, each designed to highlight athleticism, strategy, and fun for players ages 8–18. The festival celebrates diversity, accessibility, and development across all levels of play.
“We’re proud to welcome Soccer Wars to Illinois,” said Robert White, Director of Group Sales & Partnerships for Experience Champaign-Urbana. “It aligns with our mission to bring inclusive, dynamic events to the area.”
