CHICAGO, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois will celebrate Illini Night at the Chicago Cubs game on Tuesday, June 17 at Wrigley Field, bringing fans, football stars, and Illini pride to one of baseball’s most iconic ballparks.
Before the Cubs take the field, a special media opportunity will take place at 4 p.m. at the Budweiser Brickhouse Tavern, located just outside Wrigley Field. Reporters will have a chance to speak with All-Big Ten Illinois football players including quarterback Luke Altmyer, offensive linemen Josh Gesky and Josh Kreutz, and outside linebacker Gabe Jacas.

Later in the evening, Illini head football coach Bret Bielema will serve as the Cubs’ guest conductor for the seventh-inning stretch, adding an Orange and Blue twist to the classic “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
