CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Champaign County sheriff deputies were on the scene of a motor vehicle accident involving an injury in the area of 3500 North and 1600 East.
A press release from the county shared that the road will be closed for several hours, and motorists are advised to find alternate routes.

UPDATE:
On Tuesday at approximately 4:45pm Champaign County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of 3500 North and 1600 East in Ludlow Township.
Two vehicles, a pickup and a passenger car, collided at this location. The driver of the pickup truck, a 62-year-old man from Paxton, and the driver of the passenger car, a 56-year-old female also from Paxton, were pronounced deceased on the scene.
The thirty-year-old female from Ludlow that was in the passenger car was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office accident reconstruction deputies. The names of those involved have not been released pending notification of kin.
