Champaign, IL (Chambana Today) – The Women’s Business Council (WBC) of Champaign County has proudly announced the recipients of its 2025 Jumpstart Scholarship, an annual award that recognizes exceptional high school seniors for their academic excellence, leadership, and dedication to their communities.
This year’s scholarship honorees are Avery Watson and Molley Baxley of Unity High School, and Jaeden Haverland of Rantoul High School. Each student will receive financial support as they embark on their college journeys, thanks to the collective generosity of WBC members and supporters throughout Champaign County.
The Jumpstart Scholarship, a cornerstone initiative of the WBC, is fueled by donations and community events.
“This event is special to our scholarship committee and our members,” said Colleen Combes, a WBC representative. “It brings people together and shows the direct impact we can have on young women’s futures.”
Since its founding in 1985, the Women’s Business Council has remained committed to fostering leadership, professional development, and connection among women in business. The Jumpstart Scholarship not only offers financial aid—it provides recipients with encouragement and a network of support as they begin their careers and education.
