CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – A brand-new experience is waiting for local Girl Scouts in Champaign. The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois have opened an expanded storefront and activity space at 1808E Round Barn Road, offering more than just uniforms and badges.

The new location features a full boutique that includes uniforms, badges, outfits, and interactive project spaces, in addition to a Build-A-Bear Workshop.

One of the organization’s goal is to promote financial literacy, helping girls understand the value behind purchases and budgeting. The new building has a great meeting area where girls can work on merit badges, do homework together, or just hang out.

The former service center is now closed. The new location is open Monday through Friday, with an open house celebration scheduled for Sunday, August 24, from 1 to 4 p.m.
