CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANATODAY)- A collision on Sunday afternoon in Champaign County, Illinois, resulted in injuries to five individuals, according to State Police.

At approximately 3:18 p.m., State Troopers were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Route 136 near County Road 900 East.

Following the crash, four individuals were transported to a nearby hospital, while one person was airlifted for medical attention, as reported by officials.

To facilitate the response and investigation, the road was temporarily closed, with traffic redirected by 3:45 p.m. Normal traffic flow resumed by 6 p.m.
