CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The #9 Illinois Fighting Illini will host the #25 USC Trojans in a highly anticipated Homecoming matchup on Saturday, Sept. 27, with kickoff set for 11 a.m. CT on FOX, the Big Ten Conference and its television partners announced Monday.
The nationally televised game marks the first meeting between Illinois and USC since the 2008 Rose Bowl, which followed the 2007 season. It will also be USC’s first visit to Memorial Stadium in Champaign since 1996.
A Sold-Out Showdown
Fans hoping to attend the game are out of luck unless they turn to SeatGeek, the official ticket marketplace of Illinois Athletics, as the matchup is officially sold out.
The Illini (3-0) head into the game riding a wave of early-season momentum and will first travel to #19 Indiana this Saturday, Sept. 20, for a prime-time 6:30 p.m. CT showdown on NBC.
