DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The City of Danville is set to host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its recent upgrades at Elmwood Park, which includes brand-new playground equipment and resurfaced basketball courts.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 6, at 10 a.m. at the park. Community members are invited to join city officials and staff as they unveil the new park features.
The upgrades are part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing neighborhood parks and providing safe, accessible spaces for families and residents to enjoy. The playground now features modern play structures designed for all ages, while the basketball courts have been completely resurfaced and striped with new fencing and hoops for improved recreation opportunities.
Following the Elmwood Park ceremony, city officials will also visit Lincoln Park and Cannon Park to view recently completed court upgrades.
