URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — For the ninth straight year, Heartstrong Meals is gearing up to ensure no Champaign County family goes without a Thanksgiving meal. The organization announced its 2025 Thanksgiving Big Give, a major community initiative that will distribute 2,000 free, complete holiday meal kits on Saturday, November 22 at Quest United Methodist Church.

Meal preparation, packing, and logistics will run from November 20–22, with hundreds of volunteers expected to support the three-day effort.

Founded by community advocate Angela Bradley, Heartstrong Meals remains focused on expanding access to fresh, affordable foods in neighborhoods most affected by food insecurity.
