CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — If you’ve already got your party planned out with food, drinks, and decorations, the only thing you’re missing is the ball drop and countdown!
The iconic ball drop in Times Square is slated for 11 p.m., and can be streamed at timessquarenyc.org Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will be headlined by Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Post Malone, Pitbull, Chappell Roan, and others. While New York’s ball drop is an hour before ours, there will still be celebrations happening elsewhere once the clock strikes 12 in Illinois.
For the first time ever, the event will have a Central Time Zone countdown following the Times Square countdown.
The event will be hosted by Chance the Rapper, and will broadcast live from Chicago in partnership with ABC7 Chicago, featuring portions of the Chicago program including a countdown performance from Chance the Rapper.
New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash is taking place at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, featuring performances from Lainey Wilson, Jason Aldean, Bailey Zimmerman, CeCe Winans, the Fisk Jubilee Singers and more. A giant music note will drop at midnight, and the program will air on CBS starting at 7 p.m., and also streamed on Paramount+.
