URBANA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Champaign Movie Makers’ 2026 48-Hour Film Competition’s screening will be taking place this weekend, highlighting some of the area’s best talents.
The screening will take place at The Savoy Arthouse located at 232 West Burwash Avenue in
Savoy.
In the competition, filmmakers will be given a prompt at 7 p.m. on Friday in Lincoln Square Mall, and have until 7 p.m. on Sunday to write, produce, and edit a short film based off that prompt. A screening will be held with independent judges choosing a winner based off how well the team used its prompt. At least one team member must be in person for the kickoff to receive the prompt, which will contain a physical item.
The screenings will be held as part of the Chambana Film Society’s Savoy Arthouse series.
