CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Christie Clinic Illinois 5K has been rescheduled for Friday, June 7 at 7:00 p.m. The event will welcome close to 3,500 runners and walkers and will mark the culmination of Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend festivities for 2024.
The new course offers a scenic tour through the south and southeast side of the University of Illinois campus and wraps up just outside of Memorial Stadium. The 5K post-race party will include a live band and the Riggs Beer Garden.
Since its inception, the Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend has donated $1.734 million to charities in the community and generated an estimated $6 million in economic impact annually.
The 5K Start Line will be at Oak St & St Mary’s Rd, Champaign, IL, and the Post-Race Party will take place on Kirby Ave. outside of Memorial Stadium.

7 p.m. – 5K start time
7:15 p.m. – First 5K finisher expected to cross the finish line
7 p.m. – 9 p.m. – Post-race party
