CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — The Illinois Fighting Illini will bring back a strong core for the 2026–27 season, as twin centers Tomislav Ivisic and Zvonimir Ivisic, along with forward Jake Davis, announced their return during head coach Brad Underwood’s annual Kickin’ Cancer fundraiser.
The trio joins standout forward David Mirković, who revealed earlier in the day that he will return for his sophomore season, solidifying a key group from Illinois’ Final Four team.
Tomislav Ivisic was a major contributor last season, averaging 10.4 points and 5.6 rebounds while ranking among the nation’s most efficient scorers, shooting 73% on two-point attempts. He also showcased range, knocking down 50 three-pointers and shooting nearly 78% from the free-throw line. His production peaked during the NCAA Tournament, where he averaged 12.8 points and 6.4 rebounds across five games.
Zvonimir Ivisic made his presence felt defensively, finishing fourth in the nation in block rate and recording 72 blocks — the third-highest single-season total in program history. He also contributed offensively with 6.4 points per game while shooting over 83% from inside the arc.
Davis provided perimeter consistency, starting 22 games and hitting 54 three-pointers at a 40.6% clip. Known for efficiency, he posted one of the top offensive ratings in college basketball and ranked among national leaders in limiting turnovers.
With four key contributors returning, Illinois looks to build on a 28-9 season that culminated in one of the program’s deepest tournament runs in years.
