CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The National Weather Service (NWS) is warning us to expect heat and humidity through the weekend as summer announces that it has arrived.  The hottest days will be Friday and Saturday when temps climb into the mid-90s, and after noon heat index values hit near or above 100 degrees.  If you’re headed to the Bike to Build Rodeo at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, make sure the kids are dressed in light colors, are wearing plenty of sunblock, and hydrating with water. Humidity is expected to drop by Sunday night.
