CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — The City of Champaign launched a redesigned website on April 27 to improve accessibility, navigation, and overall user experience for residents. The modernization project, more than a year in the making, aims to meet federal ADA accessibility standards while ensuring residents can easily access information and city services.
The website features updated navigation, a flexible homepage, a consistent design across all pages, and improved readability with refreshed text and images. It is optimized for multiple devices and browsers, reflecting the growing reliance on digital services.
In 2025, the site recorded about 1.2 million page views, highlighting the need for accurate, easy-to-find information. The previous site, launched in 2015, struggled to meet these demands. City officials say the redesign underscores Champaign’s commitment to making municipal services accessible and user-friendly for everyone.
