CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Students at Booker T. Washington STEM Academy will be honored Saturday at a White Coat Ceremony and Graduation celebrating the completion of the Future Health Innovators Academy Mini Medical School.

The program, a partnership between Champaign Unit 4 Schools and Carle Illinois College of Medicine, introduces elementary students to healthcare careers through hands-on STEM learning. The ceremony will include the symbolic presentation of white coats, recognizing each student’s commitment to exploring the medical field.

The event takes place Saturday, May 2, from noon to 2 p.m. at Booker T. Washington STEM Academy, 606 E. Grove Street in Champaign.
