DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – Seven teenagers were arrested in Danville in connection to a shots-fired incident that happened Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the Danville Police Department said the incident happened in the area 1000 block of Franklin, near Townsend Streets around 4 p.m. When officers arrived, they found several people who matched witness descriptions of the people involved.
Officials said a Danville K9 officer, and his partner, searched an overgrown empty lot in the area where they found a gun, believed to be the one used in the incident. Further investigation led to officers searching a home nearby, where another gun was found.
Officers arrested Jeremiah Parrish, 19, of Danville, and booked him on charges of unlawful use of a weapon. Six juveniles, ages 13, 14, 16 and 17, were also arrested on weapons charges.
