URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The City of Urbana and the Urbana Police Department are being more lenient on certain parking regulations during the University of Illinois fall move-in week to ease the influx of move-in week.

From 6 a.m. on August 18 to August 25, the Urbana Parking Enforcement Division will temporarily relax restrictions in the campus district. This initiative aims to streamline the move-in process for new and returning students during this busy period. Drivers should remain aware that parking meters will still be monitored and enforced, except on specific streets blocked by Urbana Public Works.

Students moving into their residences between August 20 and August 22 should take note of the designated traffic flow guidelines to avoid congestion and potential penalties. For more detailed information about the temporary parking leniency, residents and students are encouraged to visit the City of Urbana’s official webpage.
